Does the A320-series support Automatic MDI/MDI-X Configuration or will I have to use a crossover cable if my computer does not support Automatic MDI/MDI-X Configuration?
Support for MDI/MDI-X:
A320: NO
A325 (A320G): YES
Auto-MDIX, which stands for Automatic medium-dependent interface crossover, is a computer networking technology developed by HP. It automatically detects the required cable connection type (straight-through or crossover) and configures the connection appropriately, thereby obviating the need for crossover cables to interconnect switches or connecting P0GCs peer-to-peer. When it is enabled, either type of cable can be used and the interface automatically corrects any incorrect cabling. For Auto-MDIX to operate correctly, the speed on the interface and duplex setting must be set to "auto".
